The Transit Point (or cross-docking hub) is a place or, even better, a hub in the logistic network, where the products’ batches are received and reallocated in smaller ones.
The Transit Point is useful to allocate goods in warehouses or stores that are downstream the Supply Chain in a more efficient way. Unlike the usual warehouse, the transit point doesn’t keep spare products.
